The development programme is a valuable five week intensive training case programme, where students are required to analyse a company in five hours and present a strategy each week.

The development programme ("devo") runs three times a year (semester 1, inter-semester and semester 2). The programme is coached by Brendon Potter, the Director of Student Development at the University of Auckland Business School.

After completing the development programme, students will be eligible for:

• Selection on head to head, national and international case competition teams.
• Become more involved in the organisation and background work of MCC.

Selection Process

1. Participate in the Open, First Years' or Property case competition.
2. Submit academic transcript.
3. Shortlisted candidates are interviewed.
4. Development squad participants are selected.

The competition for entry into the programme is fierce. Over 100 students apply for the development programme each semester and only a maximum of 24 students are accepted.

We do encourage unsuccessful applicants to reapply in following semesters as commitment and persistence can pay off.
